Actually as I was going to do this it happens again, only when I activate it / click it it does this and then this is how the app looks, http://cl.ly/17zN all broken down and such, freezes my whole computer for maybe 5-10 seconds.

Does this happen when you leave your machine for a while and then click on the menubar icon? We are completely re-writing CloudApp for 1.1 so if we can't figure out what is causing this bug right now we will definitely get rid of it once we launch the update.

    that's exactly when it freezes.

Ok, it has to do with CloudApp refreshing your uploads history. It shouldn't freeze your entire computer, just CloudApp (and even that is a bug). Does really the entire machine freeze? Finder, Browsers, etc.?

yeap.. and If I were to use it now it'd probably lock up.. i'll test it. Nah not yet.. but it locks up the entire computer for a good 5-10 seconds.

Ok that really sucks. We'll work on it for CloudApp 1.1.

I'm going to try something I've never thought of.. removing the app in its entirety and then re-installing it.

I don't think that will help but go ahead, maybe it does.

Nope, didn't do anything at all. Is there a way I can beta test 1.1 when its beta testable to see if it fixes the problem?

Absolutely. But I think it will be around 4 weeks from now. Is the product completely unusable or just annoying?

I've been getting this exact problem too. I raised it here: http://support.getcloudapp.com/discussions/bugs/75-system-hang-afte... but haven't had a response yet.

I can add that in my case the issue only occurs when I wake my Mac from sleep. If I then log out of OSX and log back in, the problem is gone.

Hi have the same problem too. When I click the menu bar icon, system hangs for a little while with the beach ball showing... and after like 15-20 seconds then I can do stuff again. The menu bar icon also often ends up looking weird.

This happens to me as well... I love the app.. but I have to shut it off after I'm done using it or it'll freeze my computer.

We will be working on this as soon as we launch CloudApp Pro. CloudApp 2.0 will be bug free.
