updates? frustrating...
just wondering why I had to spend 15 minutes tearing my hair out
in frustration, then trying to find any kind of Help Manual, then
searching the FAQ's for any and all of "no" "valid" "login"
"credentials" (NONE of which came up with a hit - Really?!?
"login"?!? c'mon!), and then FINALLY searching the
discussions in order to find this:
http://support.getcloudapp.com/discussions/help/11-login-not-workin...
now- I know this is a free app and all, but it seems like the
automatic update should've handled this (it didn't) and/or had a
notification come up upon logging into my account on the web
interface...
I'm just saying - documentation would be nice, discussion boards by
themselves are NOT always the best way to find stuff out.
now if I can just figure out where my droplets are... no problem I'll just look in the help docs - oh. right. nevermind.
thanks,
bennett

Hello Bennett,
We're having a hard time working as quick as we can, we know documentation is not the best but we will fix it! Sorry man!
Also, do you need help with anything? Are you still having problems with the login?
Thanks, let me know!

thanks Jonatan,
I appreciate your response. I seem to have figured it all out and it's working great.
I like this app alot, but you guys really should just make some very basic documentation!
just a brief step-by-step would be a good start!
I know it's simple enough in concept but it still took me a while! and the update thing almost killed it - if I hadn't stumbled upon this thread I never would've even known about that issue and I would've just given up.
anyway - with some basic help docs you'd have a lot more people using it I think.
but otherwise - great product!

PS - there is one thing that I'm still confused about:
if I upload something by dragging it to the cloud.app icon in the menubar and then I don't immediately paste the URL using the shortcut is there a quick way to get the URL later?
I tend to drag a number of things and then want to paste the URLs afterwards and so far I've been having to go to the Web Interface, manually select each one and then copy the link from that page - it's a lot of work if I have numerous clips...
I'm sure there's an easier way yes?

You can actually click on the cloudapp menubar icon and click the icon to the left of the item you want to share and it will copy the link to your clipboard. Like this: http://cl.ly/1oof .

great - that's easy enough.
next question - the numbers to the right of the file name? number of times downloaded or something?

The numbers on the right are the number of views an item has had. If it is a picture the times it has been opened, if it is a download the times it has been downloaded.
